President, Barbara Jordan Ellis
Barbara received her B.A. in Education from Michigan State University and has completed graduate studies in the areas of Management, Business and Counseling. Barbara was employed as a trainer and internal consultant for Haworth Incorporated identifying and diagnosing organizational needs, then implementing processes and programs to effectively address them. At Haworth, Barbara pioneered methods for creating a functional participative work structure. She also served Old Kent Bank (now Fifth Third Bank) as their primary Training Officer.
Barbara has also worked extensively through The Right Place, an economic development arm of the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce. Barbara served as a primary facilitator of HR oriented Continuous Improvement User Groups for the manufacturing community.
Barbara’s clients have valued her ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels in the organization and to provide services which have consistently produced high quality results. Barbara brings a depth of experience and knowledge to her work including specialized training and certifications in the areas of Executive Coaching, Socio-technical Work Systems, Project Management, Leadership Development, and Personal Style Assessment. She is also a graduate of Leadership Grand Rapids and Leadership Grand Traverse.
Barbara has also authored numerous articles for regional as well as national training publications and business magazines, and is a frequently requested speaker for educational and motivational seminars.
Also a professional musician and songwriter, Barbara enjoys using music to enhance some of her presentations.
